I went to Kuehn-Haven from 1996 to 2001, and even back then, it was every bit as horrible as it is now. Students here (and sometimes even parents) are treated more like prisoners than family. Bullying has been a constant and persistent problem, and the school won't do anything about it. It is appalling what they let their kids get away with here. When students misbehave, they are sent to a restriction room where they just sit and do nothing (which means they get to escape from having to do schoolwork), and this is exactly what the kids want, so it does absolutely no good.

I had a caring teacher in fourth and fifth grades and an excellent math teacher in seventh grade, but the rest of them were just here for a paycheck and nothing else. The principal at that time was a very nice gentleman, but he was WAY too soft on discipline. My nephew also attended this school and told me a horror story about his teacher grabbing him and pulling him by the shirt when he was acting unruly (and I believed him because I actually witnessed that teacher and his attitude a couple of times in the hallway and out on the playground).

Technology and teaching strategies are outdated. Too much emphasis is placed on sports and not enough on academics and other extracurricular activities. A top-notch athletics program does NOT mean a good school. If you are seeking a quality education for your child, please avoid this district.
